Each year many communities around Ontario put on Santa Claus parades, and for the past two years Friendly Fires has joined in that community spirit by participating in not one, but two local Santa Claus parades!
For the second year in a row Friendly Fires participated in both the Carleton Place and Almonte Santa Claus parades – many happy families braved the cold and they were well rewarded. The team handed out over 3,000 candy canes! to happy kids from their float showcasing products from the showroom including a beautiful outdoor fire table.
Best Musical Float in Almonte!
This year again local country sensation Brea Lawrenson thrilled the crowd with Christmas carols. Brea has recorded in Nashville and toured the country. Parade watchers were thrilled at her fantastic voice, so much so that they took home the prize for best musical float from the Almonte Santa Claus parade.
Since moving to the community two years ago Friendly Fires has invested heavily in building a beautiful showroom to showcase our wide range of fireplaces, stoves, and inserts – as well as our large inventory of outdoor products such as BBQs, fire-pits and more. For those looking to save money on hydro, we also install complete solar electric systems.
Store manager Paul McIntosh and his team at Friendly Fires Carlton Place see it as their responsibility to give back to the community. “We provide products that add value and ambiance to people’s homes, we have been welcomed by the community and we feel the need to give back in any way we can. The Santa Claus parades are great opportunities to get out there and meet people and have fun at the same time. It’s a real win-win.”
