Dear Friendly Fires,

A HUGE thank you to Pat and team for the installation of my very first pellet stove;   ‘The Podmobile’

The Podmobile has earned it’s name from the Spaceship features that it adds to my very rustic home.  While it is a modern, sleek appliance, the Piazzetta Monia Pellet Stove a.k.a.’ Podmobile’,  has touched down and landed in my home.  The Podmobile comes to our planet in peace and the heat that it emits is fantastic!!  Sent by the Italian’s within our galaxy, it is a true star ship gem and I am very pleased with it’s overall capsule capabilities.

It’s cloaking devices have demonstrated it to be a stealth, almost silent appliance.

Here on Earth, the service I have received from Friendly Fires and Pat have been exemplary. Pat has been very patient  while teaching me the Podmobile lingo, cleaning techniques and pellet stove education.  He has answered all of my questions promptly and respectfully while I transition from oil to this strange but wonderful wood pellet galaxy – thank you!

Oh, and the reduction in oil heating costs is huge!!

I would highly recommend Friendly Fires when you are ready to have your own Podmobile docked at your house 🙂

Dear Rodney,

Just wanted to do a follow up with you on how pleased we are with our newly installed fireplace insert.

The service you gave us at the time of purchase went far beyond our expectations, and we are most appreciative to you for that. As well the service technicians who installed the appliance were most helpful in demonstrating its proper use and professional in assuring us a safe installation.

Our stove has burned continually for the past 4 weeks. It has made a seldom used fireplace that only took hot air out of our family room, into a warm and cozy room where all our family members, including pets, gather to soak up the warm heat.  I would also advise that we have already noticed a difference in our oil bill, as the heat from the fire insert rises throughout the house.

We own a century old home with an attached 5 year old addition. We have a high efficiency propane furnace that we’ve been trying to ‘tweak’ for the last 5 years but have always felt cold. We also had a small propane stove for our family room but were not getting out of it what we were promised. We went to Friendly Fires (formerly REOPH in Kingston) in October 2012 and spoke at length with Rodney who was very knowledgeable and genuinely interested in helping us. He provided us with as much information as possible in order to come to our final decision. We selected a Alderlea T6 for the older side and upgraded to a Valor Medrona for the family room. The day we made the final decision, Rodney was unavailable, however we were treated with the same professionalism from Matt and Mike at the store. Our stoves were installed The 3rd week of November and all the guys were excellent. Everything was completed in a timely and professional manner. We have spent a few weeks now using the stoves .We are very happy with their performance  and are confident in our decision to entrust our home heating needs to  Friendly Fires (formerly REOPH in Kingston).      Lee and Vicky McCreary

Just a quick note to say how pleased we were with the fireplace renovation. When we first spoke I did not think it possible to have the room we have now. My wife loves the fireplace and as you see by the picture, the finishing turned out great. What a change from a boring blank wall. As for your crew, they showed up when promised, did a great job and left the place as clean as they found it.

We will definitely recommend Friendly Fires to any friends or family in the market for a fireplace.

I just wanted to let you know that I picked up the replacement part for our wood stove from your Cobourg location today. I know this wasn’t an easy part to get and I appreciate your efforts.

Installation took about 10 minutes and the new part has a modification that will prevent ash from clogging the main air outlet so we’ll probably get better performance from the stove.

Everyone at Friendly Fires has been a pleasure to deal with and I will most definitely be a return customer.

I recently hired Friendly Fires to install a fireplace in the downstairs of my new home. They did an excellent job in explaining all my options, keeping the price competitive and providing ideas and suggestions about possible designs. Dan and all the staff who completed the order and the installation were very accommodating and always available to answer my questions. Not having a good understanding on the fireplace and necessary components and considerations, I really appreciated such an informed and responsive team. As well, the workmanship was great. Ultimately, I now have a beautiful fireplace that has become the focal point of our downstairs family room that heats it perfectly.
