Product Description: This is a genuine top hearth insulation (also referred to as the Upper Heat Deflector) that is found in several BIS & Astria wood fireplaces. Hardware is included. This may also be referred to as a baffle blanket. Essentially it provides extra insulation for the fireplace which increases efficiency. It should be inspected annually and replaced when needed.
