If you have a hole in your wall (or ceiling) where a wood stove or appliance used to vent, and you want to block it – this is an attractive option for you.  This handy accessory blocks an existing wood stove smoke pipe hole.  Also called a black flue stopper, this adjustable ‘pie plate’ fits holes of a variety of sizes.  Some of our customers will put some insulation in the hole as well in order to prevent a draft.

Chimney Hole Sizes: This cover plate fits stove wood pipe holes from 6″ to 8″ in inside diameter.  This cover plate is 9.5″ outside diameter.

Tip: If you feel that you may be getting a wood chimney smell in your basement, consider supplementing this chimney cover plate with some insulation on the inside (assuming your wood chimney is not being used by any other appliance).
