These are high quality wood stove door gaskets – sometimes referred to as “Door Sealers” .  These are better quality than those found in the big box stores.  These are universal kits that fit most wood stoves in the market.  If you would prefer to have the genuine OEM replacement kit for your wood stove or fireplace – please contact us or browse our selection here.

These high quality medium density door gaskets are 6′ long and will ensure a proper seal for your wood stove or wood insert.

Purpose: Friendly Fires stocks the highest quality wood stove door and window gasket kits.  These are not the same quality gasket kits that  are found at the big box store – they are better quality.

Why we like this product: Creates a seal on the door of your wood stove or wood insert.  These are the same gaskets found in many OEM gasket kits, but for less money.

Installation Notes.  Ensure to remove your old gasket with a wire brush and clean the channel properly before applying the new gasket and some glue.  Some customers put masking tape around the gasket ends to ensure a tight seal where the two ends meet in order to prevent gasket fraying.

• BIS 1 – you may need more than 1 gasket kit to cover both doors
• BIS 1.2 – you may need more than 1 gasket kit to cover both doors

Important Information

This gasket kit does NOT come with high temperature glue to attach the gasket to the door.  You will want to purchase gasket cement – which is sold separately.  Also, please ensure you cross reference your installation manual to ensure you have the correct gasket size and length.  If you are not sure, contact Friendly Fires to assist.

You may also wish to replace the Glass Gasket at the same time to ensure a proper seal for you stove or insert.  Glass Gaskets are pretty much universal.
