These are OEM replacement Soapstone Bricks for the Hearthstone Green Mountain 40, the Hearthstone Craftsbury 8392, and the Ambiance Hipster 14 wood stoves (see applicable models below). These are genuine Hearthstone replacement bricks that ship new in their original packaging, they are not an aftermarket equivalent.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ

Sometimes, the soapstone in a HearthStone wood stove needs to be replaced. HearthStone says that hairline cracks are ok / safe, as long as you don’t see smoke or creosote spillage. Should one (more more) stones need to be replaced, please note the following:

• Because soapstone’s have different vanes – the new replacement stones will not be identical to the current ones (some soap stone comes from Brazil, some from Vermont and some from a pit in Canada)
• When these stoves are taken apart, we often notice that one (or more) stones should be replaced and / or stones break while being taken apart. It is not unreasonable that replacing one single stone will lead to 2-3 replacements stones.

Description: These are the replacement soapstone bricks that line the interior of the firebox.  In total there are (6) bricks that line the interior of the firebox.  There are (2) bottom stones, (2) rear stones, (1) left side stone and (1) right side stone.  You can select each brick from the drop down menu, but PLEASE NOTE THEY ARE SOLD INDIVIDUALLY. Ensure you select the correct quantity you desire.

• Right Side Stone (1 each):  1-0600-401 – door latch side
• Left Side Stone (1 each):  1-0600-402
• Bottom Stones (2 in total): 1-0600-403

What is Soapstone?: 

• Soapstone is a natural material distinguished by its elegant appearance, durability, and unique thermal properties. By absorbing, storing, and radiating heat over time, it provides consistent and long lasting warmth.
• The panels need to be replaced when it is gravely chipped and/or cracked. Failure to replace the panel under the mentioned conditions will alter the performance of the unit.
