Part Description: This is a genuine replacement IPI NG/LP Pilot Assembly (PSE-C7-542) that is found in select Hearthstone gas stoves. This pilot assembly is set up as a natural gas assembly – but it can be converted to LP (propane) by following these instructions. 

A gas fireplace pilot assembly provides a small, continuous flame that acts as a reliable ignition source for the main burner while ensuring safety by controlling gas flow. It keeps the fireplace ready to light instantly, prevents gas buildup, and often generates the necessary voltage to operate the gas valve via a thermocouple or thermopile
