This is an OEM Hearthstone Tie Rod Sealant Kit that is to be used on the Hearthstone Green Mountain 40 60, & 80 wood stoves. This is a genuine Hearthstone replacement part that will ship new in its original packaging, it is not an aftermarket equivalent.
Hearthstone Part Number: 96-58000 (Same as 9658000)
Part Description: The kit includes a small tube of a specialized sealant and high temperature insulation. You apply the insulation and sealant to the threads before installing the tie rod, creating a strong, yet removable, seal.
- Prevents loosening: The sealant helps prevent the tie rod from loosening.
- Reduces seizing: It can also help prevent the tie rod from seizing or becoming stuck due to rust or corrosion.
- Easy removal: While providing a strong hold, the sealant is designed to be easily removable when the tie rod needs to be replaced or serviced.
