Product Description

This is a Heartland Gasket that goes in the ash door, the fire door, and around wood door flap.  This gasket works with both the Heartland Oval and Sweetheart models.  These used to be called Elmira wood cook stoves.

IMPORTANT: This gasket is sold in 6′ increments only. From the drop down menu you can order either ‘1’ (which will be a 6′ gasket); or ‘2’ (which will be two 6′ gaskets).  Depending on the application, you may need to cut some excess gasket off to fit.

You may also need to adjoin the gaskets together if you need more than 6′. Where the two ends meet, apply tape (electrical works best) and cut the gasket long enough to ensure there is no gap.  In other words, you want the ends to have a slight ‘pressure’ where the ends meet to avoid a gap where air could come into the fireplace.  The tape will burn off – that is ok.  The tape simply helps avoid the gasket from fraying in the future.

Part Description: This gasket is a 3/8″ fiberglass rope gasket that covers the ash door, the fire door, and the wood door flap on the Heartland cook stoves.  The gasket does not come with any adhesive to seal it in place. If you require some, you can find gasket cement here.
