The ICC Chimney Snow Wedge (XLESW) is a genuine ICC Excel Chimney component.  This ICC chimney components comes with the full factory warranty.  The ICC Chimney Snow Wedge helps prevent snow and ice from damaging an ICC (or other manufacturer) wood roof flashing, and the stainless steel chimney. The ICC Snow Wedge gets installed just above the roof flashing.

• ICC snow wedges are typically installed in applications with high pitch steel roofs where the flashing is located a few feet from the peak of the room.

Additional Tip: Sometimes, its the chimney roof braces that get damaged with ice and snow, and these pull down the wood chimney.? If you are installing an ICC XLESW Snow Wedge, you may want to also install ICC Pole Brace Stiffeners.
