Part Description:

• ICC Excel Pellet has a number of different thimbles for penetrating walls.  ICC pellet wall thimbles are unique in that they can extend to accommodate different thicknesses of walls and they come with Roxul insulation to ensure an air tight fit.

ICC Wall Thimble Installation Notes & Tips

ICC Wall Thimbles: ICC Excel pellet wall thimbles telescope to accommodate wall thicknesses from 5″ to 10″.  The pellet thimbles are fully insulated to maintain insulation integrity and fits tightly to prevent heat loss.  The 3″ wall thimbles require a 6 1/2″ X 6 1/2″ framed opening whereas the 4″ requires a 7 1/2″ X 7 1/2″ framed opening.

ICC Wall Thimble Extensions: ICC wall thimble extensions are required (recommended) when a wall is thicker than 10″.  These ICC pellet wall thimble extensions work with the standard ICC Wall Thimbles as well as the ICC Wall Thimbles with outside air.  Click here for an installation manual for ICC wall thimble extensions.

ICC Wall Thimbles w/ Outside Air: Sometimes a pellet stove installation will require outside air – either to improve performance or to reduce vent termination clearances.  ICC makes it easy to accommodate an outside air feed.  Instead of drilling a separate hole in the wall, ICC allows you to feed the outside air through the thimble allowing one less hole in your wall.  ICC also has a wall thimble with outside air for basement below grade applications, but its not listed here.
