Part Description: This is a genuine natural gas pilot assembly that is found in many IHP gas stoves and fireplaces. In a gas fireplace, the pilot assembly’s primary function is to light the main burner. A pilot assembly generally consists of a pilot light, thermocouple, and sometimes a thermopile, however sometimes the thermopile and thermocouple are not included. The pilot light ignites the gas, and the thermocouple or thermopile generates electricity to keep the gas valve open.
