Part Description: This is a genuine replacement vermiculite baffle that is found in the Jotul F 500 wood stove. This vermiculite baffle replaces the previous #10385912 cast iron baffles in which (2) were required. A wood stove baffle, also known as a heat deflector plate, is a crucial component located at the top of the firebox. It’s designed to deflect heat back into the firebox, prevent waste gases from being lost too quickly through the flue, and aid in secondary combustion for increased heat production.

Dimensions: This vermiculite baffle measures 18¼” x 11½”
