This is the official Kingsman Marquis piezo igniter assembly for many Kingsman Marquis fireplaces that burn natural gas.  This is the push button piezo igniter used on most standing pilot models.  This piezo ignitor creates a spark for the pilot light to catch.  These fireplace igniters do go after a period of time and need to be replaced:
