This is an OEM Mendota High Temp Thermocouple that is approximately 36″ long and is specifically designed to be used on select units that are converted to propane (see applicable models below). This is a genuine Mendota replacement part that will ship new in its original packaging, it is not an aftermarket copy.

Part Description: This is a genuine replacement Mendota thermocouple that is roughly 36″ in length and is used on select Mendota fireplaces that have been converted to propane. This thermocouple has a higher temperature stainless coating that adds life to the thermocouple when used on LP gas. In a gas fireplace, the thermocouple acts as a safety device, detecting the presence of the pilot light flame and sending a signal to keep the gas valve open, preventing gas leaks if the flame goes out.
