Description: This is a genuine replacement cast iron access baffle that is found in select Morso 1400 series wood stoves. A baffle in a wood stove redirects the path of heat, smoke, and unburned gases to keep them inside the firebox longer, promoting more complete combustion and increasing efficiency and heat output. By forcing hot gases to travel a longer path, the baffle ensures that gases are burned more thoroughly, reduces creosote buildup in the chimney, and protects the stove’s main body from intense heat.
