These are genuine Napoleon gas fireplace and freestanding gas stove horizontal termination caps.  These are genuine Napoleon venting components that ship in new Napoleon packaging (they are not after market copy).  Sometimes the external vent cap needs to be replaced (or installed) – and this is the genuine Napoleon Direct Vent Wall Termination Vent Cap.  This piece is commonly used as a direct vent application for gas fireplaces (also for Continental fireplaces).

Description: Made non rust aluminum, Napoleon’s fireplaces and stoves require a termination cap on the outside of the home for proper venting and fireplace operation.

Napoleon Part Number:  GD-222 (same as GD222)

These fit what is called Direct Vent Flex Venting from Napoleon, that measures approximately 4″ inside diamater x 7″ outside diamater (close, not exact).

Napoleon Testing Standards

Napoleon’s Freedom Flexible aluminum vent is produced from type 3003 aluminum alloy. Like rigid vent, it must meet the test requirements that are contained in the harmonized safety standards for vented gas fireplaces, ANSI Z21.88/ CSA 2.33 and ANSI Z21.50/ CSA 2.22. Beyond that, flexible vent must meet specific test requirements that are contained in UL 1777 Chimney Liners and ULC-S635 Standard for Lining Systems for Existing Masonry or Factory-Built Chimneys and Vents. In short, Freedom Flex not only meets the same ANSI standards as other direct vent rigid pipe but also meets additional standards!
