Part Description: This is a genuine replacement natural gas SIT 880 (0.880.001), electronic ignition gas valve for select Napoleon gas fireplaces. A gas valve in a gas fireplace acts as the central control, regulating the flow of natural gas or propane to the burner, allowing you to turn the fire on/off, adjust flame height (high/low), and ensuring safe ignition and operation by working with safety devices like thermocouples/thermopiles to verify the pilot flame before opening the main gas flow to the burner.
