This is an OEM Napoleon Fireplace Thermocouple (W680-0005) that is found in many Napoleon gas fireplaces (see applicable models below). This is a genuine replacement part that ships new in original Napoleon Fireplaces packaging (its not an aftermarket copy).

Part Description: This is a genuine replacement thermocouple for several models of  Napoleon gas stoves. A thermocouple in a gas fireplace is a safety device that uses the heat from the pilot light to generate a small electrical current, which then keeps the gas valve open. If the pilot light goes out, the thermocouple cools down, the current stops, and the gas valve automatically shuts off, preventing gas leaks and potential hazards.
