This is the official Pacific Energy replacement part for the rail extensions located to the left and right of the firebox. The PE Vista Series is their SMALL wood stove and wood insert line. This kit includes the left and the right rail extensions. These are new PE Vista Steel Side Rail Extensions that ship new in original packaging.
Part Number: 80000648 (replaced old part number VIST.RAILEXT)
Applicable Models: Pacific Energy Vista Series Wood Stoves and Pacific Energy Vista Series Wood Inserts, Pacific Energy Alderlea T4 Wood Stove.
Purpose: These rail extensions are designed to sit above baffle. Often they will warp over time and if they not replaced you could cause damage to the baffle, flame shield and potentially to the top of your wood burning stove.
Installation tips: Remove the baffle before attempting to remove the rails. Often if the old rails are still inside the wood burning appliance they will be warped and may need a hammer to remove them.
Other Notes: Make sure the side gaskets are in good shape – often when you replace the extension you will need to replace the rails and the gaskets located behind the rails. Item is highlighted in yellow in product image.
