This is the official Pacific Energy replacement door gasket for their Neo wood burning stoves and wood inserts – newer (current) models.  This part ships new in original Pacific Energy packaging.  This 3/4″ high density door gasket is different than other after market gasket kits.  Other after-market 3/4″ gasket kits are not always as dense as this one.

Applicable Pacific Energy Models

• PE NEO 1.2 Wood Stoves and Inserts
• PE NEO 2.5 Wood Stoves and Inserts
• PE Vista LE Wood Stoves and Inserts (made after ~2020)

Purpose: The gasket ensures a tight seal between the door and the body of the stove.

Installation Tips: Remove the old gasket and clean the channel on the door (using a wire brush works really well).  Then place the new gasket in the channel – make sure the two end of the gasket meet on the hinge side of the door.  Close the door and let the gasket seal to the door.

Other Notes: This gasket, is the same gasket that Pacific Energy uses when they make their stoves.  It is a graphite gasket.  Most manufacturers say that, the graphite gasket is more durable and it will last longer compared to the regular white gasket found at the mass merchants.

Although this gasket comes with a “sticky” side it is usually not “sticky” enough to hold the gasket in place after repeated use.  We highly recommend that you purchase the Fireplace and Stove Gasket Cement as well.  In addition, you may also want to replace the gasket around the glass (Glass Gasket) at the same time as you replace the door gasket in order to ensure a proper seal.

Note: Wood stove and fireplace door gaskets are also commonly referred to as “Door Sealers” (Asbestos style rope that goes around the door channel).
