This is the official Flame Shield for Summit Series of Pacific Energy freestanding wood stoves – Series A. This is a Pacific Energy Fireplaces official factory replacement part. Note, this part was slightly changed by Pacific Energy twice. Its now made of Stainless Steel (in older models, the Flame Shield was made from mild steel). Its designed to retrofit to older Pacific Energy models. This flame shield will not fit newer models however (see below).
PE Part Number: 80000397 (replaced old part number SUMM.31155 in 2019)
Applicable Models: Pacific Energy Summit Series A, PE Summit Classic Series A and Alderlea T6 Series A wood stoves – any serial number previous to 400,002 (check the part number, it may work in other Pacific Energy wood burning products).
Purpose: The flame shield is a replaceable part. In the older models it was mild steel, and Pacific Energy made the change to stainless steel a few years ago. The purpose of the shield is to take the “wear and tare” of the heat going around the stainless steel baffle. If it is damaged, cracked or deteriorating in any way, they should be replaced.
Installation tips: This flame shield has three holes for the bolt to go through, depending on the vintage of your Pacific Energy Stove, you may use only one of the holes, or two of the holes. It will take some time and patience.

Important Notes:
This flame shield fits Pacific Energy Summit WOOD STOVES (not Wood Inserts) Series A Only. If you have a Pacific Energy Summit WOOD INSERT – the flame shield is different (see part number SINS.35135).
