Pacific Energy Replacement Door Handle

This is the Official OEM replacement door handle assembly for ‘newer’ Pacific Energy Wood Stoves.  This is a genuine replacement door handle that ships new in original Pacific Energy packaging.  Check your manual and serial number, as older Pacific Energy stoves (with square doors) take a different handle (see wodc.147).

Applicable Models for the Pacific Energy Replacement Door Handle

All newer Pacific Energy Vista, Vista Classic, Alderlea T4, Super 27, Spectrum Classic, Spectrum, Alderlea T5, Summit, Summit Classic, Alderlea T6, Vista Insert, Super Insert, Summit Insert, and Vista C  wood stoves and wood inserts.

Purpose 

The  door handle assembly is designed to make sure the door closes tight on the wood stove.  If the door is loose it will cause excessive air to come into the stove.  With excessive air, it will be difficult to control the air flow into the stove.  Excessive air could also lead to over-firing of the wood stove and the wood stove may warp or crack.

Installation tips 

Take your time fitting the new door handle.  Once its on, do the paper bill test.  While the stove is cold, take a paper bill and close the door on it in a variety of location around the door opening.  The paper bill needs to be difficult to pull out.  If its not tight, consider replacing the door gasket as well.

Other Notes 

This door handle fits a variety of Pacific Energy Wood Burning Stoves.  Its best to check your owners manual to ensure this part fits as Pacific Energy has changed door handles over the years.
