This is a genuine replacement baffle rail from Pacific Energy Fireplaces. This PE Rear Baffle Rail ships new in original Pacific Energy packaging.
Pacific Energy Part Number: 80001687 (replaces old part number 124.003)
Part Description: This is the rear baffle rail in the Pacific Energy Super Series wood burning fireboxes.
Applicable Models: Pacific Energy Super 27, Spectrum, Spectrum Classic and Alderlea T5 wood burning stoves (check the part number, it may work in other Pacific Energy wood burning stoves).
Purpose: All the rails are designed to support the baffle and hold the brick in place. Often they will warp over time and if they not replaced you could cause damage to the baffle, flame shield and potentially to the top of your wood burning stove.
Installation tips: Remove the baffle before attempting to remove the rail. Often if the old rail is still inside the wood burning appliance it will be warped and may need a hammer to remove them.
Other Notes: Make sure the side gaskets and the side rails are in good shape – often when you replace the rear rail you need to replace the gaskets located behind the side rails and you may need to replace the side rails. In the picture, it is the baffle that is circled in yellow.
