This is an OEM replacement door gasket kit for several models of RSF wood burning fireplaces.  This kit ships new in its new original RSF packaging, it is not an aftermarket equivalent.

RSF Door Gasket Rope Description:

• Dimensions: 5/8″ thick x 90″ long
• High Temperature Gasket Glue Silicone Adhesive: Included with kit
• There likely will be some excess gasket left over – you will need to cut to fit.

Purpose

The door gasket is a barrier between the doors and the face of the fireplace.  When the gasket starts to wear out, the unit will leak air and cause the fireplace to over fire which may lead to damage.

Installation Tips

Please ensure that you remove all debris from the gasket channel by using a wire brush or something else.  Its a cast iron door, you so can’t hurt it.  Drop a think bead of glue (not too much) to ensure gasket does not get hard.  Ensure ends are close together.

Note: Wood stove and fireplace door gaskets are also commonly referred to as “Door Sealers” (Asbestos style rope that goes around the door channel).
