This is the official OEM primary air screen for the RSF Onyx.  RSF has changed the name of the Onyx over the years from the Onyx, Onyx AP, etc.  This is a genuine RSF Replacement Part.

RSF Part Number: R-7.21.N (replaces old part number AA1222)

Part Description: RSF Onyx Primary Air Screen.

• RSF Energy Onyx
• RSF Energy Onyx 2
• RSF Energy Onyx AP

Check the part number, it may work in other RSF wood burning fireplaces

Purpose: The air wash screen directs air across the glass of the fireplace to help keep carbon from building up on the glass.

Installation tips: It is a good idea to use some penetrating oil to remove the existing screws.

Other Notes: If the air was screen is cracked or broken, it needs to be replaced to ensure proper efficiency in the fireplace. Some customers replace the screen and the secondary air tube at the same time.
