Product Description

This is an official OEM RSF and RSF Energy Replacement part for the Opel 2, Opel 2C, Opel 3, Opel 3C and Opel AP wood burning fireplaces.  This replacement refractory brick is a new RSF factory part new in original packaging.

RSF Part Number: FR-11.18.P (same as 11.18.P)

Part Description: RSF Opel Bottom Ash Plug

Applicable RSF Models:

  • RSF Opel 2 (with ash pan installed)
  • RSF Opel 2C (with ash pan installed)
  • RSF Opel 3 (with ash pan installed)
  • RSF Opel 3C (with ash pan installed)
  • RSF Opel AP (with ash pan installed)

Purpose: The firebrick protects the fireplace from warping and cracking.  The bottom plug covers the ash system opening in certain Opel fireplaces.

Installation Tips: Make sure that you clean all the ashes out of the firebox.  Use a vacuum (a shop vac with a drywall filter is best) to clean all the ashes out.

Other Notes: Do not use a household vacuum and make certain that there are no embers in the ashes before vacuuming.  If you vacuum embers, you will risk having a fire in your vacuum.  Highlighted in yellow in product image.
