This is the official OEM RSF Opel replacement air wash screen for the RSF Opel line of wood burning fireplaces.  This is a genuine RSF replacement part that ships new in original packaging (this is not an after-market copy).  Over the years RSF has changed the name of the Opel to Opel 2, Opel 3, Opel 2000, Opel AP etc.

Check the part number, it may work in other RSF wood burning fireplaces.

Purpose: The air wash screen directs air across the glass of the fireplace to help keep carbon from building up on the glass.

Installation tips: It is a good idea to use some penetrating oil to remove the existing screws.

Other Notes: If the air was screen is cracked or broken, it needs to be replaced to ensure proper efficiency in the fireplace. Typically if the screen needs to be replaced typically you will need to replace the secondary air tube.  Highlighted in yellow in product image.
