This is an OEM Security BIS II Back Baffle that is found in the BIS II wood fireplace (see applicable models below). This is a genuine replacement part that will ship new in its original packaging, it is not an aftermarket copy.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: The BIS II fireplace has 2 top baffles – the front and the back. This IS THE BACK BAFFLE ONLY. You can find the Front Baffle (7B30R224-1) here.

Product Description:  This is a genuine replacement back  baffle for the BIS II (2) wood fireplace. This baffle measures 24-1/8″ x 9-3/8″. A baffle in a wood fireplace or stove is a plate or board at the top of the firebox that redirects smoke and gases, keeping them in the firebox longer to burn more completely. This process traps heat, preheats smoke for ignition at the secondary air tubes, and promotes efficient, cleaner burning. The baffle also protects the stove’s components from overheating and reduces creosote buildup in the chimney.
