This is an OEM Selkirk Direct Temp Direct Vent Length Adapter in 4/7″ venting that is poweder coated black, but also works in galvanizes systems (works in both stoves and fireplaces).  This genuine Selkirk Vent Adatper will ship new in their original packaging, they are not aftermarket copies.

Difference Between Black and Galvanized?

There is no difference regarding the quality of the pipe – both are the same product. One is simply painted black while the other is unpainted. Generally speaking, the black pipe is used in installations in which the pipe is visible (black is more aesthetically pleasing / matches more decor); where the galvanized (unpainted) pipe is used in installations in which the pipe is not visible and installed behind framing.
