Friendly Fires stocks all components required to vent a wood stove or wood insert up a masonry cavity (chimney).  This  high temperature insulation wrap allows a stainless steel flex liner to have reduced clearances to combustible materials, and is required in some jurisdictions by the local building authority.  Its also used to keep a stainless steel liner warm (hotter) – to improve drafting in wood burning fireplaces.

• 1/2″ foil faced insulation blanket
• Foil tape
• Retractable metal mesh
• Stainless Steel tie wire

Product Details:

• Less skin irritation & able to breathe more easily
• Safer alternative to ceramic wool (Aluminum Silicates)
• Aluminum Silicate is exempt from any carcinogenic classification
• Listed for use with single wall chimney liner
• Will accommodate liners that are 6″ diameter and smaller

Installation Note: The insulation wrap adds approximately 1/2″ (if installed carefully) to the outside diameter of your stainless steel liner.  You may be forced to reduce your liner size in order to allow it to go down your chimney system.
