This is an OEM Valor Interrupter Block that works with several Valor Gas Fireplaces (from Miles Industries).  This part will ship new in its original packaging – it is not an aftermarket copy.  Miles Industries is the manufacturer of Valor Fireplaces.

Product Description: The Interrupter Block acts as a safety mechanism and will shut off the pilot (turning the fireplace off) if it senses an unsafe operation of the unit. This is used in conjunction with the spill switch.
