This is an official genuine OEM RSF and RSF Energy Replacement Part.  The RSF Energy Omega is a wood fireplace and the Top Refractory Baffle will break and wear over time.

Purpose: Baffles in wood burning appliances are designed to keep the heat inside the firebox to ensure a clean burn.  They also protect the top of the appliance from over heating.  They also ensure proper air flow inside the stove.  If they are damaged or deteriorating in any way, they should be replaced.

Installation tips:

1. First, remove the front secondary air tube at the top front of the firebox to be able to install the baffle. To do so, unscrew the bracket located on the left side of the front tube.
2. Then place the  baffle above the other two tubes and ensure their proper orientation:
3. Reinstall the first tube and screw it in place. It will take some time and patience to replace the baffle.
